PDC World Championship

The PDC World Darts Championship is the biggest tournament in darts where the best players in the game fight it out to win the half-a-million pound prize and the famous Sid Waddell trophy. The tournament is held in London's Alexander Palace and takes place around Christmas, making it the perfect sport for the festive period. It kicks off on the 15th of December with the first round and the final is on the 4th of January.

PDC World Darts Championship Shocks

The PDC Darts World Championship draws the best players in darts and is the biggest prize pot in the sport making it the crème de la crème of darts tournaments. The tournament also isn’t without shock results, making it a great tournament to bet on. In last year's tournament, major winner and number 8 seed, James Wade was knocked out by Jim Williams in the second round of the tournament. Other shocks included number 2 seed Peter Wright going out in the third round and then 15th place seed Dimitri Van den Bergh making it to the semi-finals. But it was Michael Smith who took home the title after beating Michael Van Gerwin in an enthralling final match.

Gerwyn Price donning a pair of ear defenders in the final last year was also a shock!

Our odds change throughout the tournament, meaning that you can bet in-play on the PDC World Championship as and when it happens with Lives core Bet.

How to Bet on The PDC World Championships Odds

With LiveScore Bet, we offer PDC World Championship Odds throughout the tournament and on a range of markets from match winners to nine-dart finishes.

Darts World Championship Match Betting

A match bet is one of the simplest bets you can place within most sports. This is when you place money on the player you think will win the darts match. We offer match-betting odds at every stage of the tournament, including in play betting, so there's plenty of opportunity to back your favourite players. You can also combine several match bets to create an accumulator and increase the odds of your bet.

Outright PDC World Championship Betting

When placing an outright bet on the PDC Darts World Championship, the bettor simply selects the player that they think will win the entire tournament. In recent years the likes of Micheal Smith, Gerwyn Price, and Peter Wright have won the title, but it is important to do your research, as there are many players in form coming into this year's tournament.

Nathan Aspinall will burst onto the scene after making it to the Semi-final of the 2019 World Championship and has now the 2023 World Match Play. On the other hand, Micheal Van Gerwen looked unbeatable years ago, but the Dutchman has been far from it in recent times. MVG did make it to the 2023 UK Open final but failed to clinch the trophy after he was beaten by Andrew Gilding. He has a lot to prove and there is no better stage to prove yourself on.

What are the PDC World Championship Winner Odds?

The biggest winner odds for the PDC World Championship are on the players who qualify for the tournament by winning lesser-known tournaments such as the PDC Nordic & Baltic ProTour. Marko Kantele won this in 2023 to qualify for this year's tournament.

Players can also qualify for the tournament through PDC qualifying events. Thousands of players compete in local events to qualify for the right to play on the biggest stage in darts. Those players will also have the highest odds as they are classed as amateur players.
